Road Freight
Within the remit of road freight FAEFA are able to offer Full Trailor and Part trailor loads throughout the UK and Europe. The key to keeping the cost down is planning as it allows us to time to incorporate your shipment into existing schedules.
FAEFA utilises regular consolidation or groupage services throughout Europe, including eastern states such as Romania & Bulgaria. Where customs clearance is required, we are able to provide your client with contacts who will be able to assist with the local formalities but your client is welcome to use their existing broker, if they prefer. If this is a new area of business for you, we will be happy to discuss the transaction and provide you with local information so that you get it right, first time.
For imports, we shall be pleased to have our associates contact your supplier and arrange the collection and then the through movement to the UK, where we take over. This is often considered a benefit, as it allows us to have real-time updates, as to the progress of your shipment.
As with sea freight and air freight, road freight works on a hub system, where cargo is collected from and delivered to the out-lying areas, via a network of distribution centres, in the major commercial centres, such as the Greater London area, Paris, Barcelona & Hamburg.
For full loads, we place business with reputable operators based on their ability to meet your schedule and competitiveness. This is where planning is central to success, as it allows us to work effectively to meet your requirements.
The same systems operate within the UK. We have a network of hauliers who specialise in their own fields, such as courier, pallet loads, full trailers and out of gauge moves, up to 200 tons cargo weight. In short, no consignment is too small or too large.
