Sea Freight
For Sea Freight, in conjunction with our overseas agents, FAEFA works with a small number of NVOCCs who provide neutral consolidation services. Our affiliations allow us to provide coverage in all five continents.
Depending upon your sea freight requirements, we are able to offer collection and order chasing services, both in the UK and overseas so that you have real-time information, as to the progress of your order. The vast majority of the services utilised by FAEFA are weekly, with published transit times.
Exports
FAEFA works with a number of strategically placed receiving depots around the UK. This means that you are able to enjoy competitive haulage costs, based on local moves, instead of paying to move your goods, what could be half the length of the country to meet the container. This hub system works the same way (but in reverse) overseas, where containers are moved to a major commercial centre such as New York, Dubai or Singapore. Cargo for the out-lying areas is then moved with other cargo for the same destination, by the appropriate means (container or truck) to that destination. For example: If the final destination for your goods is to be Oman, it will be loaded in a Dubai container & unpacked in Dubai. Thereafter, the other goods destined for Oman from elsewhere in the world will be consolidated with your shipment and a container will be loaded and shipped from Dubai.
Imports
Imports operate in a similar manner where cargo is assembled in the major commercial centres and shipped in dedicated UK containers. When the goods arrive, the container is unpacked, the goods are cleared and delivered.
Clearly, this is a simplistic view, as there are many documentary and security procedures to consider. In conjunction with our agents and associates, FAEFA are ideally placed to provide specialist information and knowledge, to ensure that your consignments move in an efficient and cost effective manner.
